Love my showsn
As above, I got greeley and Doris and I had to return Doris because the mid part of my foot would have still been to wide. Will need a bit if breaking in before wedding but very cute
I love these shoes...they fit perfectly and look great. What would make them thoroughly comfortable for me would be a little padding and arch support in the insole (they are flat and hard). To wear them for any length of time or while standing and walking I will need to buy inserts. I hope the manufacturer will consider my comments for the future and then I would certainly buy more. I've been looking for this style for years .
I love these shoes. The wide sizes fit me perfectly. I never thought I would get a chance to wear cute shoes like these but since they actually make wide sizes I can! I now own two pairs of American duchess shoes but hope to buy more and more!
I love the color and fit and style of these shoes! My feet swell, so the laces adjust as necessary. My only complaint is the soles are very slippery.
Hi Fishwicke,
The soles of the Gretel have a sealant coating on them, they will be less slippery as the coating starts to wear away. You can add non-slip pads like these (https://www.americanduchess.life/collections/historical-footwear-accessories/products/rubber-non-slip-sole-protector-pads-self-adhesive), or you can sand the sealant away faster by either using sandpaper or by doing the 'twist' on hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt, or you can also have your local cobbler install rubber soles, You can read more about leather sole care here: https://www.americanduchess.life/pages/how-to-care-for-leather-soles
