The Gretel's are so lovely that I bought them in all the three colours. The desing is adorable! Cute without being childish, as the heart stitching is very subtle. The design on the toes makes me smile every time I look at them. The quality is great - soft leather and a roomy toe box. The black and the blue ones (much lighter blue than real cornflowers) are more muted, whereas the burgundy ones have a beautiful shine in the leather. Perfect to wear with both skirts and trousers. My absolute dream shoes! US size 6 fits comfortably for EU size 36 (with cotton socks).

I got these shoes and a couple of others for my daughters go 19 and 21. They absolutely love every pair! One pair didn’t fit and we had an easy return and swap out. Thank you for having such a unique product!

First purchase with American Duchess had me kind of disappointed. The leather feels cheap, the shoe’s lining shows through at the seams and the fit is weirdly wide where it should curve with the foot. Even had to go back in and look to make sure I didn’t order the wide version by accident. I’ll keep them because I already scuffed the bottoms a bit and they’re comfortable enough but I don’t think I’ll be buying American Duchess shoes again.
