Jane Vintage Oxfords (Black)

My first pair of American Duchess shoes, but I go way back to the Royal Vintage days and have many pairs I still delight in wearing.
The leather on the Jane Oxfords is thick and quite firm but that isn’t a criticism at all. It does, however, require me to gently break them in which I l usually find takes some time. My Claire Oxfords were similar when new. I have a wide foot with a high arch and would have purchased a wide fit had it been available. I have never found sizing up to help with width, so prefer to use my own methods to eventually ensure a comfortable fit. I love the simple elegance of this shoe and know I will be wearing it for many years. The glacé finish is lovely to behold.

I was so happy to get these for everyday wear. My co-worker heard me talking about them and said, "I didn't know you were a cosplayer". I'm not, but I bragged about the sale. The following week, she was waiting for her order!

Dear American Duchess I would love to give you 5 stars BUT.....My twin sister has been lusting after these shoes for a few years. After reading the reviews, I ordered her a size 9 (which is her regular size) for her birthday. After ordering, I came across another review which stated that the shoe runs a bit small. Immediately I wrote to your customer service dept and requested a size change to 9.5. When they arrived (which was timely) the shoes looked great (as expected) but were a size 9 and (also as expected) too small. I know they are a final sale, but can you find it in your heart to exchange them for a 9.5? Many, many thanks for your consideration.

Years ago I bought a pair of oxfords with a heel. At the time I had no idea how much mileage that shoe would give and. the versatility of it. They finally wore out which left me in a quandary. I tripped over the American Duchess website and behold my basic oxford that I can dress up or down. I wear this shoe with trousers, denim, and dark skirts along with tweed skirts with black tights. It's my three season uniform.

American Duchess please find a way to make this Jane Oxford in oxblood (very dark maroon).

I was surprised at how well the shoe fit my foot. Toe box is perfect and I tend to be narrow in the heel which is why the lace up makes my day.
