Margaret 1920s Shoes (Red/Burgundy)
Description
Meet Margaret, a do-it-all 1920s shoe with a unique twist. These round-toed, low-heeled beauties are built on a custom 1920s last, with a perfectly balanced 1.4"/3.6 cm heel. Margaret is decorated with intricate interwoven strips of smooth leather, which are complemented by the lace-up closure on the straps over the instep. Practical for daywear, but elegant enough for evening, Margaret is sure to turn heads wherever you go. Margaret is available in both standard and wide widths.

Complete the look:
I really like this shoe. It is simple with a lower heel and the classic 1920's almond toe. The lower heel gives it good stability and comfort and good for the office and everyday wear. I'm not really liking the cris cross closure though. It makes it hard to open it out enough to get your foot in easily and then tighten back up. I have the Gibson and the Parker and the closure on those makes more sense. I took the laces out and just used the single hole on either side and they worked much better.
The silver weaving looks like metal studs in person. I can't wait to put together outfits for this! Lacing closure is a little more complicated than I was expecting, zigzags, but I think it will also hold in place better than trying to tie a bow without the crossover.
